College Goals

The College of Pharmacy seeks to achieve a set of academic, professional, and community objectives that support the quality of pharmaceutical education, develop competencies, and promote scientific research and community service.

Main Goals

  • Preparing and qualifying the necessary cadres to work in various pharmaceutical fields such as dispensing and compounding medications, pharmaceutical manufacturing, and drug regulation.
  • Organizing refresher courses in various pharmaceutical sciences to ensure the continuous scientific competence of pharmacists, while keeping pace with developments in pharmaceutical education and integrating them into the College’s educational policy to ensure the development and updating of academic curricula.
  • Providing technical consultations and studies to various service sectors, and collaborating with scientific institutions and bodies at the regional and international levels in a manner that enhances alignment between the educational process in Iraq and the global context.
  • Participating in research and studies at local and international scientific conferences, and organizing scientific conferences and exhibitions in Iraq in cooperation with relevant entities.
  • Collaborating in the field of pharmaceutical regulation with official authorities to ensure the quality and safety of medicines and to embody the concept of pharmaceutical care within the community.
  • Raising health awareness by promoting pharmaceutical culture in the rational use of medicines, and cooperating with relevant executive sectors in rational drug use and public health awareness through various media channels.
  • Contributing to the development of plans and studies and participating in research in the pharmaceutical field, and submitting them to official authorities to support the formulation of pharmaceutical policy.
  • Enhancing graduates’ competencies and building communication bridges between them and the College’s faculty members.
  • Recognizing outstanding students who demonstrate exceptional scientific and community contributions.

The College’s objectives align with a modern academic environment based on continuous development, openness to knowledge, support for innovation, and the utilization of digital transformation and artificial intelligence (AI) as enabling tools for advancing pharmaceutical education, scientific research, and community service.
