As part of the continuing education lectures at Al-Turath University, Dr. Afaq Mahdi Ali from the College of Pharmacy, delivered attended by a large number of faculty members a scientific lecture entitled: Natural and Industrial Water Sources and Methods of Recycling and Purification.

Second-Year Students Excel in the Microbiology Laboratory

The Microbiology Laboratory at the College of Pharmacy, Al-Turath University, witnessed a distinguished scientific activity by second-year students as part of the practical applications of the laboratory course.

where the students conducted a scientific experiment entitled: Stool Examination by Simple Salt Flotation Under the supervision of Dr. Bakr and Assistant Lecturer Dr. Ali Mohammed, students were introduced to one of the laboratory techniques used for examining biological samples and detecting parasites and microscopic elements using the saline flotation method.

These laboratory activities align with the College of Pharmacy at Al-Turath University’s direction toward enhancing applied education, developing students’ practical skills, and linking theoretical knowledge with laboratory application, contributing to the preparation of qualified pharmacy cadres in line with the requirements of modern pharmaceutical education.

College of Pharmacy Students Organize an Awareness Workshop on Diabetes

Students of the College of Pharmacy at Al-Turath University organized an awareness workshop on diabetes as part of scientific and community activities aimed at promoting health awareness on campus and serving the community.

The workshop included conducting health screenings for a number of university faculty members and students, including blood pressure measurements and blood glucose testing, as well as providing health guidance on diabetes prevention and the importance of regular medical follow-up.

This activity was held under the supervision of faculty members from the Clinical Pharmacy Department at the College of Pharmacy, Dr. Mohammed Muzahim and Dr. Aya Nabil, who oversaw the implementation of health screenings and guided students throughout the awareness activity.

This initiative comes within the framework of the College of Pharmacy at Al-Turath University’s commitment to strengthen students’ community role and develop their practical skills in delivering healthcare services and medical awareness.
